How Much Rain Will I Collect?
You would be amazed how much water runs off of your roof in a rain storm. As a rule of thumb, every 1,000 square feet of roof area in a 1" rain will yield approximately 600 gallons of water. Our 205 gallon rain barrel would fill in just a fifth of an inch of rain over a 1,000 square foot collection area.
